Deep Sea Fishing North of Cape Naturaliste

As we arrived at Quindalup Friday morning we could see the sun just coming out of the East which was a beautiful sunrise bright red orange an absolute glass off in the bay, soon our keen fishermen arrived with repeat customers as per usual, we got them boarded then we headed out north of the cape to some of our best fishing grounds.

We had a good start bagging a couple of nice break sea cod and another couple of good pinkies, just before the top of the tide we found a hot rock that was loaded with fish, as we went over the mark 6 of the 12 lines started screaming, we lost a couple but as the fish started to surface 10 metres from the boat we realised we bagged a good few Dhuie with the whole boat ecstatic as they saw these prized fish pop to the surface, I turned around there was no one fishing as they were all in awe at the sheer size of these West Australian Dhu Fish, an 18kg, 16kg and a 15kg.

Due to us sustaining the sustainability of our fishery we gave these lumps a bit of a rest and headed off to find some new fishing ground, a couple more pinkies, a beautiful Queen snapper and a few more break sea cod were bagged.

The job was done for the day with everyone stoked with the effort we left the fishing grounds at about 2pm, the crew then knocked the sides off the fish preparing them for the passengers to take home, would like to thank all the great passengers that enjoyed their journey with Legend Charters, stay tuned for the next blog…
